Steph’s Gluten-Free Cinnamon Rolls

After hundreds of recipes, hours of baking, and numerous taste testings; I have finally come up with the BEST gluten-free cinnamon roll recipe! They are light, flaky, sweet, tasty, and 100% gluten-free!

Dough Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 cups gluten-free flour (I used King Arthur’s GF Baking Mix)
  • 3 tbsp sugar
  • 1 packet active yeast
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/4 cup milk + 1 tbsp sugar
  • 4 tbsp butter
  • 1 egg

Filling Ingredients

  • 3 tbsp butter
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp cinnamon
  • Frosting Ingredients:
  • 1 1/2 cups powdered sugar
  • 4 oz cream cheese
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • splash of vanilla
  • 1-2 tbsp milk

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Combine water and milk in measuring cup. Microwave for 45 seconds.
  3. Add 1 tsp sugar and yeast packet to warm milk/water mixture. Let sit for a few minutes.
  4. Combine all other dough ingredients in a large mixing bowl.
  5. Add milk/water/yeast combo.
  6. Mix well.
  7. Cover and let rise for 30 minutes.
  8. Roll dough out between two pieces of clear plastic wrap.
  9. Spread 3 tbsp melted butter on dough.
  10. Sprinkle with cinnamon and brown sugar mixture.
  11. Roll and cut.
  12. Bake for 25 minutes.
  13. Frost when cool.
